• Il a organisé à cette fin, en mai 2005 à Amman, en partenariat avec l'OIT, un atelier régional intitulé « Enhancing Employment Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities » (Améliorer les possibilités d'emploi des handicapés), qui a permis à l'Office d'améliorer l'insertion professionnelle des handicapés au moyen des centres locaux de réadaptation.

• L'Organisation internationale du Travail (OIT), dans le cadre de son programme Universitas, prend des initiatives visant à renforcer l'inclusion sociale des jeunes, le développement des compétences et de l'aptitude à l'emploi, et a publié en août 2006 Beyond the Scoreboard: Youth employment opportunities and skills development in the sports sector (Au-delà des résultats sportifs : possibilités d'emploi et formation professionnelle des jeunes dans le secteur des sports).

• The 3rd Community Support Framework, drafting strategic priorities concerning the development of human resources in Greece according to the five policy fields of the regulation of the European Social Fund, aims at the distribution of specific appropriations in the fifth policy field « for the improvement of access and participation of women in the labour market including their professional career, access to new employment opportunities and their capability to establish new enterprises, but also, for the reduction of horizontal and vertical gender-based discriminations in the labour market ».
